| Enjoying the craic at the first Etape Hibernia |

Great weather, fantastic scenery and a course that was not for the faint-hearted combined to ensure that we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at the innaugural Etape Hibernia.
Around 1,400 riders, from Ireland and elsewhere, descended on County Clare for the first-ever running of the 80-mile closed road event, which was held last month and sponsored by ZipVit Sport.
Among them was a host of celebrities including Olympic heptathlete Denise Lewis and legendary cyclist Sean Kelly, whose An-Post cycling team has been supplied by ZipVit Sport for the past three seasons.
Not only did the weekend see us hand out ZV8 Energy Bars, ZV7 Energy Gels and ZV1 Emergy drink to participants, we set up our stall and took the opportunity to find out what people think of our ZV range.
Warren Bailey, MD of ZipVit Sport, said: We had a brilliant time at the Etape, which was really well organised with a great turn-out. Everyone was saying that the course certainly wasn’t easy, thanks to the hills and the windy conditions in that part of Ireland.
We were busy all day and spoke to lots of people. We are building an excellent following in Ireland and we got lots of good feedback on the products.
ZipVit Sport will next be out and about and handing out gels and bars to runners taking part in the Run To the Beat event in London on September 26, a half marathon through the capital’s streets accompanied by thumping music. |
